About Us

Welcome to Lee Sail Covers!

Our family began sailing in 2000 with no previous experience.  As we became more aware of the importance to care for and extend the life of our sails, we began the painstaking chore of looking for a jib sock and main sail cover and found these were very costly and difficult to find.  We wanted the luxury of leaving the main sail on the boom as well as the jib furled and still protect the life of our sails.  When we purchased our main sail cover and jib sock there were only one of each in stock.  Our vision was to make and sell covers of a higher quality fabric at a competitive cost. To further that vision, we offer top quality covers made out of a unique engineered polymer material designed specifically for constant outdoor use. We are now celebrating our 17th year in business and have made lots of changes along the way, including changes over to YKK#10 zippers, PTFE Thread, and offering common sense fasteners. We still the use the best outdoor fabric WeatherMax80 and have kept our prices very competitive. All sailing products including main sail covers, most custom covers, jib covers, and sail bags have a money back guarantee along with a low price guarantee . Sail covers from 10 - 52 feet.

One of the best outdoor performance fabrics on the market, WeatherMax from Safety Components in Greenville South Carolina, is also one of the most environmentally-responsible.  It is efficiently manufactured to strict ISO 14001 standards, ensuring that even all the waste generated from producing the fabric is recycled. Unlike traditional fabrics, WeatherMax features an innovative HydroMax finish instead of coatings that are harmful to the environment and users' health.  Water repellant, it has twice the strength and six times the tear resistance of acrylic.  The breathable WeatherMax fabric also eliminates mold and mildew growth.
