Mainsail Cover

I ordered a jib sock last year and was surprised with the quality and speed which it arrived. This season I ordered a matching main sail cover and again I couldn’t be happier. They make it so easy.

Ordered a new Lee Sail Cover for my Tumlaren, "Kestrel". Followed the straight-forward instructions for measuring the critical dimensions and submitted my order online. To my amazement, within a couple to days I received an email notification that the sail cover had already been shipped from the factory. Upon receiving it a few days later, I was delighted with the quality of the materials and the workmanship. The cover fits like a glove and is easy to take on and off. The standard issue plastic snap fasteners are far superior to the metal twist fasteners on my previous, worn-out sail cover. All in all, great service, great product.

Fit is what was hoped for. Protects the sail from bird poo, UV and rain. Cover has stayed as deployed in F7 conditions. Driving rain. No moisture issue. Bird poo. Life. Beats poo on the sail. UV. Time will tell. Quality construction. Stitches look solid. 4*s for now. Test of time to earn the 5th Star. Initial impressions are 5*.

Mainsail cover is well made and fits perfectly on my Tanzer 22. Service was very helpful and friendly. Cover was shipped within a few days. Looks sharp, easy to spot boat in the mooring field.

This mainsail cover is the second one that I have ordered from Lee Sail Covers; one several years ago for my Pearson 38 and this one for my Island Packet-32. Both covers were of high quality and fit my dimensions perfectly. Like many sailors, I am frustrated by the slow response and frequent no-shows of many of the local boat services vendors. For me this includes the local canvas loft. Don't waste your time looking around locally and over-paying, take your own measurements, order on-line and have your cover delivered within two weeks.
